You had fun playing outside in their train.....

AND you were THRILLED because the family bathroom had one of THESE in addition to a regular toilet.....side by side practically......giving going to the bathroom family style and at the same time an entirely new meaning...

AND you were also thrilled to see a toilet with the handle on the right side of the tank instead of the left..

We got extra strawberries and tomatoes to give some to Grandma C. so we stopped by her house on the way home.

We had a good day. You have a walking field trip today at the park....to fly kites.....have a scavenger hunt and do some nature etchings for a nature book....then pizza and soda at the park for lunch.....(though you are taking your own). I hope and pray you have a great day and lots of fun.....I will sneak over and take some pictures of you from a distance to post later.

On the way to Fulton Farms yesterday......you were talking about RR crossings....and then out of the blue said "oh by the way mom......" and I said "yes?" to which you used sign language to tell me you loved me.

That made my day.

I love you too little man!

Mommy
XOXOXOX

Those strawberries look yummy! I figured he would like that train outside their place. Did you see the fish in the little stream of water up front of the barn? I remember that bathroom, Audrey had to use it one time so we went in there. Love you guys!

Berries and tomatoes look delicious. Mom said she had some shortcake today. And she froze a quart of the berries, by putting in smaller servings like she can use for herself. Sounds like Noah had a great time at the Farm. Love you both.

Well, that looks like a fun time! I live in Cedarville...not too far away...Fulton Farms has great sweetcorn, too later in the summer....I'd like to ask you, if you don't mind, if you have a good DAN doctor for Noah? I'm starting the process of looking for another. Ours is 2 hours away in Bluffton and "out of network" with out insurance. Thanks!

I never had a DAN doctor for Noah because I personally do not have a desire to DEFEAT Autism Now in Noah.....I accept him the way he is but do wish to provide him with all the resources he needs so he can cope better in the world we live in and be successful. While autism can be challenging and in some cases at times also very debilitating (it even has been for Noah from time to time).....I really do not wish to totally eradicate it or separate it from Noah....because that is part of Noah's makeup.

I honestly cannot imagine him being any different than he has been all his life but I can envision him better equipped to be successful at anything he wishes to accomplish!. It is my job to help him with that!

Noah's autistic characteristics are a big part of the little man he is....and to try to defeat it or stamp it out to me would be like trying to stamp bits and pieces of him out....or just the ones someone might find problematic or irritating or annoying or just frustrating. I just want to accept him for who he is and love him and help him be the best little boy and young man and ultimately adult man he can ever possibly be in his lifetime. I don't want to change him or his make up....or how he was made. I just want to provide him with the tools necessary to make his life easier....so he can adapt in our busy world better.....so he can be happy and have love and be successful.

I totally understand what you are saying. My boys have benefited physically from the doctor we have gone to...they had a lot of health issues due to their autism...that I was glad to improve. It has made them feel better...things like candida yeast, chronic constipation, and they had some severe vitamin deficencies. It has improved their quality of life to correct those issues. Autism will always be a part of their life, though. I've found the doctor's recommendations to make my boys feel better and as a result they are happier ...and that is what is important to me.
Your Noah seems like a wonderful kid. He's lucky to have you!
